Natural food grocer Lucky’s Market is slated to open its first Miami-Dade County store at Shops of Kendall in spring 2019.

Shops of Kendall, at 125000 S.W. 88th St., is a newly renovated retail center in Miami’s Kendall area.

Lucky’s will occupy 23,000 square feet.

The Boulder, Colorado-based grocer announced in July that it had signed leases for stores in west Boca Raton, Ormond Beach, Pensacola and Venice. At the time, the company said those stores would open within 1.5 years.

Luckys currently owns 30 stores, including 13 in the Sunshine State. By the end of the year, it will have more than 35 stores, with more than 16 in Florida. Its South Florida stores are in Coral Springs, Oakland Park and Plantation.

The brand is known for selling organic and locally made items, such as smoked bacon and sausages, in addition to seafood and locally sourced produce. Stores feature juice bars, cafes, bakeries and prepared meals, such as sushi and ramen.
